  • What an absolute treasure of a place! We stayed in the Oak Room and it was, without exception, the most beautiful room we’ve ever stayed in. The beautiful surroundings have been created with such care and attention, it really was a pleasure to stay. The whole place exudes style, character and class and is a perfectly positioned little gem – cannot wait to return! Thank you to the lovely hosts, you really excelled here!

We booked into Birches Brow for one night and were in the ‘Chestnut’ room. Our stay was faultless! The room was immaculate with stunning decor. Hot drinks and cookies were there on arrival which was a lovely touch. After a lovely nights sleep. We were brought a hefty breakfast hamper in the morning which was top notch.

All in all, Birches Brow is a great concept and really well thought out. Regret not staying longer. We look forward to returning.

  • This was a short notice booking because all of the big hotels were fully booked and was also a lot nearer where I needed to be. So I believed it was a bit of a risky booking. All of my concerns were unfounded. After only being open for 3 weeks when I arrived, nothing was left to chance. I was very warmly greeted and the room was chic, spacious, immaculately clean and extremely comfortable. Fresh milk, decent coffee and hand made biscuits as standard in the room were a delightful surprise and attention to detail that I really appreciated. Nothing was too much trouble, and all of my questions about taxis, eating locally and the general area were provided without hesitation. This was an ordinary trip made surprisingly trouble free and a complete pleasure. I regretted not arriving sooner and staying longer.

Stunning guest house just a couple of minutes walk away from The West Tower, so the location is perfect for those attending a function there. Room was perfect and the bathroom was stunning, my only regret was that I didn’t use the roll top bath. In the morning we were greeted by a knock on the door and a lovely basket full of treats. We loved it and would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a quiet countryside stay.

  • Great welcome, very helpful with local transport as well. Lovely room. Very quiet and comfortable stay. Would recommend definitely. Nice touch with the breakfast basket. Will visit again with the wife as she would love it.

Wow, what a fantastic place to stay, We stayed in the forge, which has been renovated to a very high standard. The decor is classical, but equally warming and welcoming. The hosts are really friendly and will assist with anything. Breakfast is twee and comes in a picnic basket with kiln jars filled with delightful treats. Hot croissant and toast is also provided. We had a wonderful night there and will book again if in the area. Thank you for a room which felt like it was one in a luxury hotel. Good luck with your adventure.
